Discover SWOOD Nesting

Manufacturing processes in the woodworking industry are conducted by the equipment present in the workshop.

From the cutting process to the finished panel, there are several steps such as:

  • Cutting on a beam saw,
  • Transfer through an edge banding machine,
  • Finalizing panel on CNC router before assembly.

The nesting process combines the cutting of free-form panels and the machining of the top face of the parts in a single step. Each panel is also easily identified by manual or digital application of a label on each cut piece.

SWOOD NESTING
SWOOD Nesting is the nesting solution for the SWOOD product suite.

SWOOD Nesting allows you to create in a few clicks a nesting of several projects embedding panels of different shapes, thicknesses, and materials.

The sheet library is completely customizable and includes machining information related to the material used, such as the choice of insertion corner and preferred direction of nesting.

The Nesting parameters also allow you to vary the result. The rectangular mode will be particularly effective on kitchen projects while the free mode will give better optimization on curved projects such as reception desks.

Nesting of several projects on a panel

One of SWOOD Nesting’s strengths is also its full integration with the other modules of the SWOOD suite:

SWOOD CAM to generate programs for additional NC machining phases,

SWOOD Design for hardware and material grain direction management,

The SWOOD report, generator of data and documents to communicate with the workshop the information necessary for each manufacturing step.

All in one complete parametric solution from design to nesting
