– Can you describe your manufacturing process, including CNC machines, software, and operator?
Our machines are: Rover: A3, R35 and C6 – Felder: Two H80-nesting and two Creators – And one Stema production line.
90% of our production starts in nesting.
We have two different production lines. One for cabinets and on for front panels. First the parts are cut in nesting. Then all panels go through an edge-band machine. And lastly all panels are machined in CNC.
Everything we produce is designed in SWOOD Design.
Also, all CAM programming is done with SWOOD.
– What were your manufacturing challenges before using SWOOD?
We could not program nesting, and we were not fast at making new drawings.
Now, all panels we use are pre-programmed for all machines.
– Mention improvements you have seen since starting to work with SWOOD.
The biggest advantage is that all panels are pre-programmed, and it is very easy to make changes.
Also, SWOOD Center creates hundreds of new products with the click of a button.
– Can you present your production line process and why you chose to produce this way?
All machines are connected with conveyor belts and robots. Now, we only touch the panels four times before they are ready to assemble.
We touched the panels 18 times in old production. The reason is that we moved all panels by hand from machine to machine and lifted the panels in and out of the machine.
– What were the requirements for CAM software in your production line?
To solve all machining needs. And to control the robots inserting the drawer slide and hinges.
– How does SWOOD help you to handle automatic hardware insertion?
We solve this by drawing the holes in different dimensions and depths and giving specific instructions to the machine.
We can control everything we need.
– Was the transition to SWOOD easy with your manufacturing process?
We did not come across any problems with the integration.
We had a consultant on our shopfloor one day implementing the postprocessor.
